Pipeline Watchdog Remote Monitoring Units

Pipeline Watchdog RMUs are designed for true remote monitoring and data collection of cathodic protection rectifiers, critical bonds, and other energy industry sensors using GSM digital cellular (recommended for most North American sites) or Inmarsat D+ satellite communications (anywhere in the world).

The system can also be adapted to work with other communications options, including SCADA-based ModBus and private radio networks.

Pipeline Watchdog RMUs withstand the most severe CP rectifier environments through the use of 'Mesh' Total Isolation Technology. Small, battery powered and fully isolated sensor modules measure rectifier voltage and current and transmit the values via a short range wireless data link to the RMU Base unit, which transmits the data to the Pipeline Watchdog web server.

The user can choose to power the RMU Base unit with long-life (5+ year) batteries for maximum isolation from the rectifier, or with an external source (6 to 24 volts AC or DC) for 'always on', full two-way operation (recommended for interruption control and real-time polling).

Simplify Close Interval Surveys with the optional GPS-synchronized 'Mesh' current interruption module and switch that can be ordered with the RMU, or added later. It makes simple and powerful group rectifier interruption control possible via the Pipeline Watchdog website.
